Competency will be assessed through multiple-choice questions, short knowledge checks, and brief case study analyses focused on ethical responsibility, burnout risk, supervision, and fitness to practice. Learners will also complete reflective self-assessment activities and develop a personal ethical self-care plan to demonstrate the practical application of prevention strategies, professional boundaries, and ethical decision-making in therapeutic practice.
· Multiple-choice questions will be used to assess learners’ understanding of ethical self-care principles, burnout risks, professional competence, and supervision requirements within therapeutic practice.
· Case study analysis will assess learners’ ability to identify ethical risks, recognise signs of therapist impairment, and apply appropriate prevention or intervention strategies in realistic clinical situations.
· Reflective self-assessment activities will evaluate learners’ capacity for self-awareness by encouraging identification of personal warning signs, stress responses, and potential ethical vulnerabilities in practice.
· A personal ethical self-care plan will assess learners’ ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical, sustainable strategies that support professional wellbeing, boundaries, and fitness to practice.
· Short written responses and knowledge checks will assess learners’ understanding of the relationship between self-care, ethical responsibility, burnout prevention, and safe therapeutic care.
